Beijing is planning to dispatch school police this year in a bid to improve safety management and danger prevention in the city's kindergartens, primary and middle schools, Beijing Daily reported Wednesday.
《北京日报》周三报道，为提高城市婴幼儿园、中小学的安全管理和危险防范，北京今年计划派遣校警。
文中的school police就是指校警，根据初步策略，校园警察分为full-time officers（专职校警）和on-call officers（责任校警）两种。
专职校警推行station at schools or kindergartens（驻勤制），one officer responsible for one school（一校一警），全职负责所驻学校、婴幼儿园的警务工作。依据易受安全侵害的不同程度，专职校警的派驻侧重于小学及婴幼儿园，原则上，这类校警会进入四类学校和婴幼儿园。责任校警参照community police（社区民警）工作模式，他们将深入辖区内未派驻专职校警的学校、婴幼儿园拓展工作。
校警的职责主要：protecting schools（守卫校园）；handling emergencies（处置突发案件）；helping schools resolve on-campus disputes（帮助学校解决纠纷）；conducting safety education for students（对学生拓展安全教育）；coordinating with other agencies to maintain public security（配合有关部门维护公共安全）。
公安部门全方位负责校警的管理工作，并对他们推行performance appraisal1（绩效考核）。校警所负责学校、婴幼儿园的认可度和师生、父母的安全感与认可度是绩效考核的要紧依据。
